The Zahir Countryhouse can offer a unique and unforgettable culinary experience, thanks to our Chef Bonetta Dell’Oglio, who uses ingredients from our farm and from small local producers who are attentive to quality, seasonality and the preservation of biodiversity. This philosophy is in line with that of M’AMA.SEEDS, the startup supported by our Resort, whose aim is to reintroduce ancient Italian seed varieties. Italy is a land rich in agro-food treasures, the jewels of biodiversity and that is why it is important to rediscover ancient Sicilian grains, such as Russello, Timilia, Bidì, Maiorca, Perciasacchi. There is no-one better than our Chef Bonetta Dell’Oglio, from Palermo, the champion of ancient grains, to tell the story of the pasta, bread and pizza made from these ancient varieties: “Baking sun and golden wheat are the ingredients that bear witness themselves to the complexity and richness of the Sicilian territory and the alchemy that breaks traditions in order to rewrite them. In fact, wheat in Sicily is a hymn to that which I classify as a “natural luxury”.

OUR CULINARY OFFER INCLUDES DISHES CREATED BY A CHEF BONETTA DELL’OGLIO – CHEF ASSISTANT DAIANA IABICHELLA

Breakfast, served in our Ciauru restaurant, offers a rich buffet of homemade cakes, fruit, jams, a selection of honey, cheeses, cured meats, and other typical local products. All the flours used to make the bread, pasta, cakes and biscuits, come from ancient Sicilian grains. On request, we can also provide gluten-free and vegan products.

A refined, exclusive light lunch, that can also be served beside the swimming pool.

Our evening Zahir Aperitif is absolutely unmissable – every evening from 6-8pm, that can be enjoyed either on the Talìa terrace, that offers a magnificent view of the sunset, or beside the pool or in the garden.

Light dinner is available on request.

Alternatively, there are some excellent restaurants within walking distance, or reachable in a few minutes by car, from the Resort, for those who prefer not to go into the centre of Noto, where the variety of gastronomic choices is very wide.

Coffee, cappuccinos, juices, craft beers, soft drinks, Franciacorta sparkling wine and Sicilian wines are always available, on request, during the reception opening hours.

COOKING SCHOOL

During your vacation you can learn how to prepare a typical Sicilian dish, or the secrets to preparing a pizza or a specialist dish created by Chef Bonetta Dell’Oglio, which are absolutely unique for the quality of the ingredients used and the harmony of the combinations.
